Common species and pricing
Raccoons in attics: $400-$1,200 for trapping and removal, plus exclusion work. Females with kits require waiting until kits are mobile.
Squirrels: $300-$800. Exclusion crucial — they re-enter at the same point.
Bats: $400-$1,800. Federally protected during maternity season (May-August in most states); only one-way exclusion devices allowed during this window.
Skunks: $300-$700. Smell mitigation often required after removal.
Legal restrictions matter
Most states prohibit relocating wildlife more than a short distance (often 5-10 miles). Many species are protected during nesting season. Poisons are illegal for most mammals.
Always hire a state-licensed wildlife operator, not a general pest control company. Standard pest contracts almost never cover wildlife.
